Unregistered Players
Our insurance policy prohibits us from allowing unregistered players on the fields. We will strictly enforce our rule which states that all players must be registered and have paid the player fee prior to taking the field.
A player is considered registered when the sports director, Matt Christenson, or General Manager Jan Erickson receives a player contract and player fee.
If an unregistered player plays, the opposing team does not have to bring this to the attention of the umpires; it is sufficient if an Anchor Town official observes an unregistered player batting or fielding.
The game will not be forfeited if the unregistered player plays under his or her name. The offending player will be ejected from the game and will be required to pay a player fee and register. The coach or acting coach for that game will be suspended along with the unregistered player until they are registered. However, anytime a player plays under someone else’s name (i.e. a registered player), the player and the coach will be suspended from Anchor Town softball for a minimum of one year. This rule is not discretionary and allows for no exceptions.
