Unregistered Players

Our insurance policy prohibits us from allowing unregistered players on the fields. We will strictly enforce our rule which states that all players must be registered and have paid the player fee prior to taking the field.

A player is considered registered when the sports director, James Fleegel, or Patrick receives a player contract and player fee.

If an unregistered player plays, the opposing team does not have to bring this to the attention of the umpires; it is sufficient if an Anchor Town official observes an unregistered player batting or fielding.

The game will not be forfeited if the unregistered player plays under his or her name. The offending player will be ejected from the game. However, anytime a player plays under someone else’s name (i.e. a registered player), the state code is very clear that the player and the coach will be suspended from NSA-sanctioned softball for a minimum of one year. This rule is not discretionary and allows for no exceptions.
