Softball coaches:

Many of you have already checked out the NSA website online.  Some of you have asked how to register your team on the NSA website.  It is a good idea to register as early as possible to save a spot in your preferred league.  Your registration will be accepted, but will not be activated until you have paid your Anchor Town team registration fee, so you can register now and save a spot, and if any particular league looks like it is filling up Chris can contact you and make arrangements.

All of our team registration will be done online.  To register your team, go to www.playnsa.com.  

On the left side of the page, click on “Team login.”

On the page that appears, click on “Team sanction.”  (The feature for “Team login” on this page is for your use after you have registered your team and gotten your sanction number.)

When you click on “Team sanction,” an online form will appear.  Disregard the notice at the top that says the team sanction fee is $25.  That sanction fee is a part of your Anchor Town team registration fee.

Fill out the form completely.  If you are not sure of your team name, use a temporary name and we can change it for you later.

After selecting Alaska, the next drop box asks to select your director.  Select “Alaska-State Director.”

At the bottom, make sure you click on “Adult.”

For Division, select MEN or COED.  (Coed Church and CoRec 7/3 select COED.)

For Class, select the class you will be this year:

If you were Coed D, select C.
If you were Coed E, select D.
If you were Coed F, select E.
If you were Men’s E, select D or E as appropriate.
If you are Church, select OPEN.
If you are CoRec 7/3, select CoRec.

For Program, everybody selects “Adult Slow” except Church teams, which select “CHURCH.”

If you are unsure of any your classification, select anything, and make a note in the comment box at the bottom.  We will fix it.  You may also use the comment box to notify Chris that you are seeking a specific day, or for any other special requests.  For instance, in the Coed C program, you can note that you want to play Mondays, Wednesdays, Wednesdays on the parkstrip or the Wednesday/Friday 18-game season. 

Currently you must submit this form and then send a check for your team registration fee to the Anchor Town office or drop it by.  We are looking into signing up with Paypal or some other service so you can pay online, but for now the payment is done as it always has been done. 

When you have paid, you will get an e-mail with your NSA sanction number. 

There is no need to use the old Anchor Town team registration form, but we will still use the player registration form we have always used.  You may pick those up at the office or download them here.
