Dear ATSA Members,

Many of you may or may not be aware that Patrick McCabe, ATSA President , recently left ATSA to pursue other endeavors. We would first like to take this opportunity to thank Patrick for his years of service and dedication. His efforts and hard work were the keys to much of ATSA's growth and success during his tenure. We wish him all the best in the future.

As a result of the loss of our President, members of the association's advisory committee and the Board of Directors have been working diligently to ensure that ATSA will not only continue to provide the best possible adult recreation activities in Alaska, but will make sweeping changes that will improve our association as well. Over the next few months, members will be making improvements to the association through changes that include: the restructuring of the bylaws, the establishment of a clear hierarchy with defined duties and powers, better use of funding to improve all aspects of the association, and directives that require ATSA's management to ensure sportsmanship, fair treatment, and professionalism when dealing with association members, sponsors, and employees.

Formal and informal meetings of the advisory committee and the board of Directors over the past several weeks have already resulted in the establishment, and hiring, of a new General Manager to oversee ATSA's day-to-day operations. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new General Manager, Jan Erickson (pronounced John.) We are very excited about the addition of Jan to our ATSA team and we encourage members to take the opportunity to stop by or call the ATSA office to meet him. You may also have an opportunity to meet him at the Pool League banquet held on March 22nd at Players' House of Rock.

In addition, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce our current, interim Board of Directors. The three member board is comprised of: Mike Bloom, President; Linda Sinclair, Vice-President; and Steve Borcherding, Director. Matt Christensen also remains in his position as ATSA's Sports Director.
The Board of Directors, General Manager, and Sports Director would like to encourage ATSA' s members to contact us with your ideas, concerns, compliments, and complaints whenever possible. Our number one priority is to ensure, and re-establish, that as a member of this association, you will have a say in the conduct of its activities.

We are very excited about our future and we thank all of you for your continued support of Anchor Town Sport.

Regards

Michael Bloom
President
