Anchor Town Sports Association
General Manager

Overview: Anchor Town Sports Association is a non-profit corporation engaged in the business of managing adult recreational sports leagues (softball, volleyball and billiards). The association also operates a self-directed pulltab storefront.

The General Manager reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the association. The General Manager is also the secretary of the association and assistant manager of the pulltab operation. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Duties:
• Logistical planning and implementation of all daily business functions
• Develop and maintain budgets, plans, reports and records
• Monitor and maintain all financial aspects of the association, including achievement of annual revenue targets
• Create and implement marketing initiatives to enhance team enrollment
• Generate sponsorship revenue through marketing and sales strategies and promotion
• Analyze existing and future project expenses and provide board with recommendations for improvement
• Develop and present facility improvement plans to board
• Monitor operating costs, supplies and equipment and provide or arrange for necessary preventative maintenance
• Schedule and manage 90+ softball teams, 50+ pool teams and 20+ volleyball teams
• Develop, implement and distribute league policies, rules and procedures to team managers, contractors, employees and volunteers
• Contract and supervise field maintenance and concession vendors
• Obtain facility use permits
• Hire and train and oversee employees
• All payroll, payables and receivables

Requirements:
The successful applicant must have a working knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Word, at a minimum

Salary:
Salary depends on experience, with a range from $25,000 to $50,000 per year. As a small non-profit corporation, Anchor Town Sports is not able to offer other benefits.
